Tuition and Financial Aid

Carlthorp School tuition is determined in January of each year for the subsequent school year. Tuition for the 2024-2025 academic year is $39,550 for Kindergarten through 6th Grade.

In addition to tuition, there is a one-time new student fee of $1,000 per student. Other expenses may include uniform fees, overnight field trips, after-school care, or co-curricular activities.

Carlthorp School has a strong commitment to Financial Aid, which is based on our belief that socioeconomic diversity is critical to the well-being of the school, and that it enhances the educational experience of all students. We are committed to providing opportunities for qualified, mission-appropriate students to attend Carlthorp School regardless of a family's financial circumstances.

Our Financial Aid program is designed to bridge the gap between what a family can contribute and what it actually costs to attend Carlthorp School. All Financial Aid grants are based on a family’s demonstrated financial need. Carlthorp School offers Financial Aid to approximately 11% of the student body. Financial Aid is also available for books, after-school clubs, activities, events, and field trips, as needed.

Because our Admissions Committee prefers to review applications without consideration of financial need, we request that families apply for financial aid via the School and Student Services Application.
